Shaun Deeb Eliminated in 5th Place ($232,058)

Level 23 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Omaha Hi-Lo

Phil Hui raised from the cutoff and John Esposito called from the button. Shaun Deeb, who was on the short stack, was in the big blind and opted to call to see a {4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop.

Two checks saw Esposito bet and Deeb call, leaving himself just 55,000 back. Hui got out of the way, the dealer burned and turned the {8-Spades}, and Deeb bet all in. Esposito quickly called.

Deeb: {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Esposito: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Deeb held two pair for the high while Esposito had the better low and a lot of outs to scoop. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {3-Clubs} on the river. Esposito made a wheel for the low and a six-high straight to take the high.

With that, Deeb headed for the rail for a post-elimination interview with [Removed:139].

Level 23 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

John Esposito raised under the gun and Phil Hui defended his big blind with a call.

Level 23 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Bryce Yockey raised from under the gun, and Phil Hui made it three bets from the cutoff. Yockey called.

On the {4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, Yockey bet and Hui called.

Yockey checked the {9-Clubs} turn, then called a bet from Hui.

Yockey bet the {8-Clubs} river, and Hui raised. Yockey called, tabling {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a jack-high straight and a low. Hui showed {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the same straight and the nut low, and he quartered Yockey.

John Esposito
John Esposito

Stud

Shaun Deeb completed with a ten and John Esposito, who had brought in, called with a four.

They checked to sixth street where Deeb's board improved to four-to-a-straight. He bet and Esposito called.

Both players checked the river and Esposito took it down with a pair of kings as Deeb couldn't squeeze a better river card.

Esposito: {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} / {4-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Deeb: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Arieh Flashes Aces

Level 23 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

Stud

Arieh: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} / {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Deeb: {x-}{x-} / {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} - Folded

Phil Hui brought it in showing the {4-Hearts} and Josh Arieh completed. Shaun Deeb then raised it, Hui folded, and Arieh just called.

Arieh called a bet on fourth before checking on fifth. Deeb bet and Arieh woke up with a check-raise. That did the trick as Deeb released his hand after pondering for a few moments.

Arieh then showed him his aces in the hole.

Stud

Bryce Yockey: {x-}{x-} / {5-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts} / {x-}
John Esposito: {x-}{x-} / {q-Clubs}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs} - folded
Josh Arieh: {x-}{x-} / {9-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} / {x-}

Bryce Yockey brought it in with the {5-Hearts}, John Esposito completed, Josh Arieh called, and Yockey called. Esposito bet fourth street, and both of his opponents called again. Yockey took the lead on fifth street and bet, which chased out Esposito. Arieh raised, prompting Yockey to peek back at his hole cards before calling. Yockey checked sixth street and Arieh bet. Yockey spent a minute in the tank before calling.

Seventh street was checked through, and Yockey showed {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for kings up. Arieh showed {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for three sixes, however, and Arieh took down the pot.

Two Three-Bets from Yockey

Level 23 : 120,000/240,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

The first no-limit hold'em round hasn't brought any major confrontation. Bryce Yockey was the most active player, three-betting twice. He forced folds on both occasions.

Yockey first made it 500,000 out of the big blind, following Josh Arieh's 130,000-raise from the button.

His second three-bet came versus Shaun Deeb who opened the cutoff to 140,000 and folded when Yockey made it 400,000 on his left.
