Choi Rivers the Right Side of a Cooler

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action picked up on the flop, but preflop action replayed courtesy of players at the table.

An early position player raised it to 2,000. Daniel Choi, from the next seat over, three-bet to 5,000, and after it folded back around to the original raiser, he shoved all in. Choi, who had a covering stack, made the call, but saw that he had a monster pair that was in bad shape.

All-in player: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Daniel Choi: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop was safe for the all-in player, but the {q-Clubs} gave Choi some additional outs to the gutshot straight. The {j-Diamonds} was one of those outs and sent Choi's opponent to the rail in disappointing fashion.
