Hands #29-32: "Lucky Chewy" Doubles Through Petrangelo

Level 18 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger
Andrew Lichtenberger

Hand #29: Andrew Lichtenberger opened to 160,000 from under the gun and Elio Fox flat-called on the button. The blinds folded and the dealer spread the flop of {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Both players checked and the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn. Lichtenberger led out for 180,000 and Fox called to see the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. Lichtenberger checked this and Fox bet 450,000 which got a snap-fold from Lichtenberger.

Hand #30: Cary Katz just called from the small blind and Lichtenberger raised it up to 230,000 from the big blind. Katz instantly folded and Lichtenberger collected the pot.

Hand #31: Sam Soverel raised to 190,000 in middle position and picked up the blinds and ante.

Hand #32: The action folded around to Lichtenberger on the button who shoved all in for 1,545,000. Nick Petrangelo asked for a count from the small blind and then made the call.

Andrew Lichtenberger: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Nick Petrangelo: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Lichtenberger was in rough shape but the flop of {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} sprung him into the lead. The {j-Clubs} on the turn and the {q-Hearts} on the river were no help to Petrangelo who sent over a double up.
