Tran Busts Two Places Away from Paid Positions

Level 15 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Hanh Tran
Hanh Tran

Hanh Tran was seen betting in position after the first draw and Mark Gregorich called. Both drew one and checked and then drew one again. Gregorich bet and Tran called, but Gregorich showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and Hanh mucked.

Tran was left with last 15,000 and he was in the big blind two hands later. David "ODB" Baker raised and Tran called off but he drew four as he showed {a-}{q-}{j-}{10-}. Baker needed two.

Tran patted on the second draw, Baker drew one and the same repeated on the last draw. Tran showed {9-}{8-}{7-}{4-}{3-} and Baker had a wheel draw with {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Baker peeled an {8-} to eliminate Tran in 17th place.

The tournament is now on the stone bubble and the tournament staff announced a hand-for-hand play.
