Zhu Calls with an Ace

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Johannes Becker raised under the gun, Gary Benson called in the small blind and Yueqi Zhu joined them to the draws from the big.

Zhu peeled one, Becker two, and Benson took two. They checked and repeated their draw.

Zhu led out, Becker raised and Benson was tempted to call. However, he eventually let his hand go. Zhu called.

Zhu drew one, Becker stood pat and Zhu checked to Becker who fired. Zhu threw in calling chips and Becker tapped the felt with his cards while sending them into the muck.

Zhu exposed {a-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{2-} to show that he wasn't scared to call with an ace.
