Schwartz Extends His Lead

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Johannes Becker raised in the small blind and Luke Schwartz called.

Both pitched two and Schwartz called a bet from Becker.

They drew one apiece and Becker let Schwartz fire then called.

Becker still needed one and Schwartz patted. Becker led out but Schwartz snapped him off with {j-}{9-}{8-}{6-}{3-} which was good enough to take it down.

Mark Gregorich Eliminated in 4th Place ($81,635)

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Mark Gregorich
Mark Gregorich

Luke Schwartz limped from the button, George Wolff called and Mark Gregorich checked in the big blind.

Wolff and Gregorich took three while Schwartz needed one. The action was checked to Schwartz who bet. Wolff folded and Gregorich called for his last 10,000.

Gregorich drew two and Schwartz one.

The last draw went two and pat, and Schwartz tabled {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}. Gregorich needed a lot of help with {7-}{6-}{4-} and while the first card he peeled was a {3-}, he couldn't squeeze a two to beat Schwartz. He opened a {9-} and his elimination in fourth place was confirmed.

Gregorich on his Last Stand

Schwartz showed down {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}, taking the pot and leaving Gregorich with less than a big bet.

Yueqi Zhu

Mark Gregorich raised in the small blind and Yueqi Zhu called.

Gregorich took two, Zhu one and Gregorich check-called.

Gregorich changed two again and Zhu was pat. Gregorich checked, Zhu threw in his last 30,000 and Gregorich called.

Gregorich stood pat and Zhu was visibly shocked.

"Wow," he said and then started at the ceiling for a few moments.

"My hand is almost unbreakable, that's the problem," Zhu said. Then he took two.

Gregorich opened {9-}{8-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and Zhu showed {7-}{6-}{5-}.

"Ten-nine," Luke Schwartz asked Zhu about what he had to break. Zhu confirmed he had ten-nine after he peeled {a-}{k-}.

Gregorich claimed Zhu's chips and Zhu left the table with the fifth-place prize.
