Magnus Flops a Boat

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

There was a raise to 1,200 from the hijack and Nadya Magnus three-bet to 3,500 on the button. The blinds folded and the hijack stuck in his last 3,000 chips.

Nadya Magnus: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Magnus was already in a commanding position and the flop of {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} gave her full control of the hand with a full house. The {2-Hearts} on the turn left her opponent drawing dead to the {a-Hearts} on the river and Magnus scooped up the pot.

Hawkins Limps with Aces

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

Maurice Hawkins just got moved to a new table and he limped in from early position. Dylan Wilkerson moved all in for 6,000 in middle position and the action folded back to Hawkins who quickly called.

Maurice Hawkins: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Dylan Wilkerson: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Wilkerson was left needed some runner-runner outs. The {j-Hearts} on the turn provided a small sweat but the {2-Clubs} on the river bricked off as he was sent to the rail.

Peters Leaves a Chip Behind

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

In a three-bet pot, the dealer fanned the flop of {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} with 6,200 in the middle. David Peters was in the cutoff and heads-up with an opponent in middle position.

Both players checked the flop and the {9-Diamonds} landed on the turn. The action checked to Peters who tossed in a bet of 1,600 and his opponent called.

The river was the {3-Spades} and the action checked to Peters again. He thought for a moment before sticking in a bet of 7,500, leaving himself with just 100 behind. His opponent quickly folded and Peters collected the pot.

Serda Runs Into a Full House

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Patrick Serda opened to 1,300 from early position and the small blind stuck in a three-bet to 4,000. Serda called and the flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. The small blind checked to Serda who bet 1,600 and his opponent called.

The {6-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {8-Diamonds} on the river. The small blind checked for the third time and Serda dropped in a bet of 20,000. His opponent quickly called off his last 7,600 chips and the cards were tabled.

While Serda rivered the nut flush with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, his opponent already held a full house with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Lynskey Short, But Avoids Disaster

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Alex Lynskey
Alex Lynskey

There was a raise to 1,000 from early position and three players called, including Alex Lynskey in middle position. The flop came {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the action checked around to the {7-Spades} on the turn.

The big blind led out for 1,800 and all three players called. The river brought the {4-Clubs} and the action checked to the hijack. He moved all in for 7,000 which got the big blind and the preflop raiser to fold.

Lynskey took out his headphones and eyed up his opponent for a minute. "Quads?" he asked. Lynskey finally came to the decision to fold and good thing he did as his opponent showed {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a full house.
