Gal Yifrach Eliminated in 17th Place ($15,058)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Gal Yifrach
Gal Yifrach

Gal Yifrach was the shortest stack remaining in the tournament and he finally found a spot to get the last of his 159,000 chips in the middle. Josh Arieh called from the cutoff and the rest of the table folded.

Gal Yifrach: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Josh Arieh: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

While Yifrach held a dominating lead, the flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} gave Arieh a set of sixes. The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} to give Arieh quads and Yifrach was drawing dead to the {7-Spades} on the river.

Jose Brito

Josh Arieh opened to 50,000 in middle position and Jose Brito pushed all in for 459,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Arieh who asked for a count before making the call.

Josh Arieh: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Jose Brito: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Arieh held one pair higher than Brito's who was looking to spike a ten. The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Arieh held on to eliminate Brito.

Kenny Hallaert

Down to 160,000, Kenny Hallaert jammed preflop when it folded to him. Small blind Truyen Nguyen paused for a while but eventually laid his hand down. Big blind Ryan Olisar's call, in contrast, was lightning-fast.

Olisar: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Hallaert: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} while Nguyen had a quiet chuckle at having dodged bullets with his reluctant-looking fold.

Baitai Li

Baitai Li opened preflop, three-bet to 180,000 by Truyen Nguyen. Back to Li, who moved in for around 400,000 - there was no count as Nguyen called without needing it - he held {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, and Li's {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} found no help from the {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades} board.

A dramatic decline in fortune in the first half of Day 3 saw the two-day chip leader hit the rail in 14th place.

Ian Steinman Eliminated in 13th Place ($18,802)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ian Steinman
Ian Steinman

David "Bakes" Baker raised it up from under the gun and Josh Arieh stuck in a three-bet to 185,000 on his left. Ian Steinman was down to just 70,000 after losing the previous hand and he stuck his chips in the middle from the small blind. Baker four-bet shoved all in and Arieh instantly folded.

David Baker: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Ian Steinman: {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Steinman found himself dominated and was looking to spike a three-outer. Unfortunately for him, it would not appear on the board of {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Steinman headed to the payout desk.

The action folded to Michael Finstein who raised it up to 60,000 on the button. David "Bakes" Baker three-bet to 180,000 in the small blind and Finstein thought for a minute before shoving all in for a little over 600,000. Baker instantly called and the cards were on their backs.

David Baker: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Michael Finstein: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Baker's pocket queens held on to eliminate Finstein in 12th place.

Pedro Marques Eliminated in 11th Place ($23,828)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Pedro Marques

Pedro Marques shipped all in for just shy of 200,000 in the cutoff and Ari Engel gave it some thought in the big blind. Engel eventually called and the cards were tabled with Marques in a dominating position.

Pedro Marques: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Ari Engel: {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The flop fell {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Engel took the lead with a pair of sevens. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn was no help to Marques and the {j-Clubs} on the river sent him home in 11th place.

Harald Sammer Eliminated in 10th place ($23,828)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Harald Sammer
Harald Sammer

Harald Sammer has popped the final table bubble by busting in 10th in a gargantuan three-way pot vs. Ari Engel and Wilbern Hoffman. Preflop, Hoffman opened for 100,000 and Sammer shoved for 990,000. Engel asked for a count, then announced that he too was all in. Back to Hoffman, who snap-called too.

Sammer: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Hoffman: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Engel: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} (putting both of the near evenly stacked shorter players at risk)

When the flop of {7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} brought two pair for Sammer, Hoffman, standing, uttered a short Anglo-Saxon expletive. The turn was the innocuous {9-Spades} but the river paired the seven with the {7-Hearts}.

"Aces, you won," it was pointed out to Hoffman who was still in the thrall of the flop suckout. He bent double, then picked himself, and his large new stack, up.

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Hand #20: Josh Arieh moved all in preflop in an open spot for around 800,000. A full count was not requested by speedy button caller Ben Keeline.

Arieh: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Keeline: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board: {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Arieh quietly stood and exited from the feature stage, watched by a crowd that has grown steadily in the hour this final table has been running on it.

Ryan Olisar Eliminated in 8th Place ($39,980)

Ryan Olisar
Ryan Olisar

Hand #30: Ari Engel opened to 135,000 in middle position and Ryan Olisar shoved all in for 580,000 in the small blind. Engel asked for a count and thought for a minute before making the call.

Ari Engel: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Ryan Olisar: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

It turned out to be a coin flip and Olisar stayed in the lead with a flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. The {2-Spades} on the turn was also a safe card but the {k-Spades} on the river spelled an end to Olisar's tournament in eighth place.
