The remaining 279 ladies return to battle at 12 p.m. today for Day 2 of Event #47: $10,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Championship (with a $9,000 discount for women). The 968 entries generated a prize pool of $871,200 and the champion this year will receive $167,308 to go with the WSOP gold bracelet.

Jennifer Lopez leads the way with 251,900 and will try to cash her first ever WSOP event. She's closely followed by Katie Lindsay who will start the day with 245,600 chips and hopes to make her first deep run in the Ladies Event after several cashes in other WSOP tournaments. Rounding out the tops stacks are also Diane Cooley (229,100), Raylene Celaya (216,500) and Ana Freitas (210,000).

With the fall of Jessica Dawley after having put two bullets in the event, a new Ladies Event champion will be crowned this year. Some other notables still looking to be that champion include Ana Marquez with a comfortable stack of 146,100, Vanessa Kade (84,600), (51,000), Maria Lampropulos (70,400), Lisa Costello (47,000), Ana Cintra (60,000), Maria Ho (65,400), and Muskan Sethi (127,100).

Jill Pike (74,100), who took the second place last year is still in the race and determined to take down the bracelet this year and is followed by Molly Mossey (76,700), who finished eight and also has the goal to improve her previous performance.

The race to the victory is still yet a long run and counts four WSOP winners remaining with Allyn Shulman (128,400) Jackie Glazier (103,500), Kathy Liebert (80,700) and Marsha Wolak (65,400) who all have their eyes on a second trophy.
