No-Limit Hold'em

The shortest stacked player to make the literal final table will not be rejoining it tomorrow for the livestream and fight to the title. With under five big blinds, Simon Samokovski had to make a move sooner or later, and it was sooner, in an open spot with a suited jack ({j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}).

Unfortunately for him, Adam Lamphere lurked on the button with {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, just flat calling the shove. The blinds skedaddled and they saw the whole board, which started with some potential for Samokovski: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. This was crushed instantly with the housing up of the kings on the {2-Clubs} turn, the {5-Clubs} river academic.
