Double or Bust

No-Limit Hold'em

As is traditional on Day 2 of a pot limit/no limit event, shorter stacks are taking the plunge in droves, some regaining playable stacks, and some heading out to be paid. In the latter category are Benjamin Naylor and Nathan McLallin, the latter raising all in for an unfoldable-to amount after and utg+1 open from Brandon Lamora. Lamora's {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} hit to pair to more than hold against McLallin's {10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, and the first table of the day has already broken.

Elsewhere, Dan Heimiller opened for 45,000 and it folded to late position Christopher Nall, who moved all in for 212,000. After a countdown and consideration period, Heimiller made the call with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Nall's {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} hit on the flop of a {6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Hearts} board to scoop the pot and take a healthy bite out of Heimiller's stack, which had been over 530,000 at the start of the day.
