Wieland Busts Hamilton

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Brian Hamilton opened to 27,000 and it was called by Julien Sitbon on the button. Carson Wieland, in the big blind, potted for 114,000 and only Hamilton made the call.

The flop appeared {2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and after Wieland checked, Hamilton announced pot for 261,000. After some thinking, Wieland made the call and the few chips remaining went in the middle on the turn {5-Diamonds}.

Hamilton, holding {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}, was facing {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} in Wieland's hand, who claimed the pot after a {3-Diamonds} fell on the river, eliminating Hamilton from the tournament.

Wieland, who is playing his first ever WSOP event, has now reached a hefty stack of around one million in chips.
