Jamasi Shuts Down Ho on the River

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Farhad Jamasi
Farhad Jamasi

Farhad Jamasi, on the cutoff, called a 1,600,000 million bet from Alan Ho on the turn, with the board reading {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Clubs}. The river fell {q-Diamonds} and Ho slowed down, checking to Jamasi, who fired a bet of 1,300,000.

Ho folded, and Jamasi continues to stay amongst the chip leaders as play continues with the final two tables.

Valerie Roussel-Galle Eliminated in 15th Place ($36,287)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Valerie Roussel-Galle
Valerie Roussel-Galle

It continues to be a tough day for premium pocket pairs. Following Dane Nielsen's elimination with pocket aces, Valerie Roussel-Galle just busted out with pocket kings.

Valerie Roussel-Galle: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
James McNurlan: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Everything looked good for Roussel-Galle through the turn on the board {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, but the river brought disaster for Roussel-Galle as the {a-Hearts} came to give McNurlan the win.

Robert Pacleb Eliminated in 16th Place ($28,772)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Robert Pacleb
Robert Pacleb

Robert Pacleb, who made the final two table redraw by the skin of his 80,000 chips, was all in soon thereafter with {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. His two potential eliminators Ali Zihni and Roger Stewart held {q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and {a-Spades}{6-Spades} respectively. They found this information out after checking down the streets until the board stood {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Peter Mullin Eliminated in 18th Place ($28,772) and Paul Ferdiani Eliminated in 17th Place ($28,772)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Peter Mullin
Peter Mullin

The same hand saw two more players hit the rail at the same time. Third time shoving was not the charm for Peter Mullin, who was all in for 80,000 again in early position. Button Paul Ferdiani moved all in too for 1,350,000 and action passed to James Mcnurlan. He tanked for a good minute or so, before calling.

Mcnurlan: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Mullin: {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Ferdiani: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

A queen was in the door, spurring Mullin's hopes for yet another double, but the {a-Diamonds} on the turn pipped both players' pairs and we are paused for a redraw, 16 remaining.

Dane Nielsen Eliminated in 19th Place ($28,772)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Dane Nielsen
Dane Nielsen

Dane Nielsen and Jean-René Fontaine arrived at a flop of {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} in a battle of the blinds. Nielsen, on the small blind, went all in for his remaining 3,000,000 chips, and Fontaine called.

Dane Nielsen: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Jean-René Fontaine: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Nielsen was well ahead, and was still safe on the turn {5-Spades}. The river was brutal for Nielsen, however, as the {3-Clubs} fell to complete the gutshot straight for Fontaine

Richardson's Raise Shuts Down Fontaine

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Jean-René Fontaine, on the small blind, checked to under-the-gun Adam Richardson on a flop of {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}, and Richardson checked back.

The turn brought the {a-Hearts}, and Fontaine put out 700,000, which Richardson called. The river came {6-Clubs} and the fireworks started, as Fontaine put out another 700,000 bet and Richardson went all-in for the rest of his eight million chips. Fontaine quickly folded.

Survival Expert Mullin Stays on Three Big Blinds

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Peter Mullin
Peter Mullin

Peter Mullin was all in again for one big blind, making up the small blind when it folded round. Big blind Robert Pacleb had no option but to take him on with {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Mullin's {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} hit two pair on the {q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Spades} board and the incredibly-short-stacked journey of Mullin somehow continues.

"Come on, one of you get aces, and one of you kings up there," urged Mullin, looking at the secondary feature table.
