Morcombe Sends Troha to the Payout Desk

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Sean Troha opened to 52,000 from middle position and Andrew Morcombe called in the hijack. Dennis Durante defended his big blind and the dealer fanned out {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} on the flop.

Durante checked to his neighbor Troha who pushed in 100,000 and Morcombe instantly raised to 280,000. Durante folded to Troha who called to see the {6-Hearts} turn card.

Troha moved all in for his last 75,000 and Morcombe snap-called, tabling {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for two pair. Troha showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for just a pair of aces with a wheel draw.

The river came down a {q-Hearts}, adding insult to injury as Morcombe now had a set of queens. Troha was eliminated from the tournament and Morcombe added another healthy sized pot to his stack.
