Nelson Triples Up By Fading Clubs
Level 2
: 100/300, 300 ante
Idaho's Rob Nelson checked a flop from the small blind, and the middle position player bet 2,000. The hijack called, and Nelson check-raised to 7,000. Both of his opponents called.
Nelson jammed for 18,900 on the turn, and the middle position player tanked for a minute before throwing in a call. The hijack paused for a moment, then made the call as well.
Both active players checked the river, and the hijack tabled for a pair and a busted straight-flush draw. The middle position player showed for the nut flush draw that failed to come in, and Nelson rolled over for a flopped straight, good for a triple-up.
"I knew club draws were out there!" Nelson told a neighbor as he brought in the pot.
