Turner Makes an Amazing Call

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Paul Sokoloff: {x-}{x-}/{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}/{x-}
Jon Turner: {x-}{x-}/{a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts}/{x-}
Michael Noori: {x-}{x-}/{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}/{x-}

There was already 84,000 in the pot going into seventh street, where Noori bet and Sokoloff called. Turner tanked for about a minute before making a reluctant call. Noori showed {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Spades} for a seven-low, and Sokoloff turned over {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a better seven-low. Turner said, "Pair of fives," and showed {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for just a pair of fives, which was good for the high and half the pot, while Sokoloff won the low and Noori was left short.
