Valentin Vornicu attempted to fold with his {5-Spades} but was informed that wasn't allowed as he was bring-in. He swept his cards back up and when the first two folded to Phongthep Thiptinnakon with his {a-Clubs} and he completed, Vornicu decided to defend. When Vornicu caught a {7-Spades}, he raised Thiptinnakon and they got it in.

Vornicu: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}/{5-Spades}{7-Spades}
Thiptinnakon: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}/{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Thiptinnakon was narrowly ahead and he won the race to a pair with {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} appearing as his next two, giving him eights. Vornicu caught bricks with the {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Thiptinnakon turned over a worthless {10-Hearts}, so it was on Vornicu to peel the last card and see if he could make a better pair.

"Yesss," he whispered, turning over the {k-Diamonds}.
