Hughes Takes From Berkey

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

The player in mid-position raised to 300. The cutoff called. Ryan Hughes, on the button, three-bet to 1,000. Matt Berkey, in the small blind, called. The player in middle position and the player on the cutoff added the remainder to call as well.

The dealer spread a flop of {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}. Berkey bet 1,800. The player in mid-position and the cutoff folded. Hughes called.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts}. Berkey continued with another bet of 2,800. Hughes called.

The {j-Hearts} filled up the river. Berkey fired 5,600. Hughes moved all in for about 19,400. Berkey went deep into the tank for a few minutes and eventually Hughes called the clock on him. Within 2 seconds left to act before his hand was declared dead, Berkey threw in his chips in the middle, to call. Hughes turned over {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a set and Berkey sent his hand to the muck.
