MacDonnell Pushes His Opponent Off a Strong Hand
The board read and it appeared that Marc MacDonnell over-bet the pot from the big blind. He threw in a bet of 10,300 into a pot of around 6,000. His opponent min-raised to 20,600 from the cutoff and the action was back on MacDonnell.
He re-raised to 55,300 which sent his opponent to the tank. His opponent thought for over a minute and stood up from his chair to analyze the board and hopefully make a decision.
"Sorry guys," he said as another couple of minutes had passed. "I have two pair," he announced, surely announcing that he was not willing to continue in the hand any further. He did eventually lay his hand down but begged to know what MacDonnell's holding was. "Did you have a straight?"
"Nope but I had the best hand. Figure it out," MacDonnell responded as he was awarded the pot.
