Cabrera Soars After Flopping the Nuts

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Courtesy of Spanish reporter Alex Hernando, we were able to find out details of how David Cabrera increased his stack to 360,000 in chips. The key moment came when Cabrera was sitting in the cutoff, facing a 2,500-raise from under the gun. Cabrera opted to three-bet to 8,500 and the initial aggressor fired back with a four-bet to 17,000.

Cabrera called in position and called another 15,000 on the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. The turn came the {9-Spades} and Cabrera paid off a second barrel worth 20,000.

The other player wasn't willing to give up and he fired a third shell on the {5-Hearts} river, moving all in for 40,000. Cabrera called again and showed {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a flopped ace-high flush while his opponent had just {A-}{10-} with no heart.
