Volpe Loses Two

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Paul Volpe came in with a raise from the cutoff and called a three-bet from Per Hildebrand in the big blind. Hildebrand emptied the clip on {K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Volpe called each street. Hildebrand fanned out {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} for aces with the nut low and Volpe mucked.

In the next hand, Volpe saw a turn with Daniel Alaei and Mike Gorodinsky where Alaei bet on {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Volpe called, Gorodinsky made it two bets on the button and the others called. The {9-Diamonds} river got checked around.

Both Alaei with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Gorodinsky with {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} opened up a wheel and chopped up Volpe.
