Level 16 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Erik Seidel

David Einhorn opened to 700,000 on the button and Erik Seidel just called from the big blind despite being the short stack. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Seidel checked to Einhorn who continued for another 700,000. Seidel check-raised to 1,400,000 and Einhorn three-bet to 3,480,000. Seidel quickly shoved all in for 2,080,000 chips more and the cards were tabled.

Erik Seidel: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}
David Einhorn: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Seidel flopped the nut straight but Einhorn was drawing live with a flush draw. The turn was the {8-Hearts} giving Einhorn even more outs. Seidel couldn't dodge the river as it was the {4-Diamonds} giving Einhorn a flush. Seidel was eliminated on the official final table bubble, leaving just eight players remaining.
