Kurganov Gets There To Double Through Winter

Level 21 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Sean Winter opened with a raise to 240,000 from the cutoff and action folded to the big blind where Igor Kurganov called.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Kurganov checked. Winter put out a bet of 425,000 and Kruganov tanked for a bit. After one time extension, Kurganov moved all in for 2,550,000. Winter thought for a bit himself then called.

Igor Kurganov: {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Sean Winter: {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The turn was the {2-Clubs} which didn't change much but did give Winter two pair. The river was the {J-Spades} though and that filled in Kurganov's straight. It allowed him to double up to over five million while Winter was left short with a stack just over one million.
