Event #7: $565 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold’em Day 1b Begins at 5:00 p.m.
Day 1b of Event #7: $565 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold’em at the 2018 World Series of Poker will kick off at 5:00 p.m. local time. Day 1a, which began at 10:00 a.m., drew a total of 2,024 runners. This event will run a total of six starting flights and is certain to be the largest live tournament of the summer; the field has exceeded 18,000 entries in each of the previous three years it has run.
Following Day 1b, the next four starting flights will run over the course of Sunday and Monday with a 10:00 a.m. and a 5:00 p.m. flight each day. Each Day 1 will play 18 30-minute levels and there will be a 20-minute break every four levels. Players will begin with 5,000 chips and blinds start at 25/50. Late registration and re-entry will close at the beginning of Level 9 and each player is permitted one re-entry per flight.
All remaining players will combine for Day 2 action on Tuesday and the eventual winner, who will take home a guaranteed top prize of at least $1,000,000, is set to be crowned Thursday. This year's champion will join Thomas Pomponio, Ben Keeline, and Cord Garcia in the COLOSSUS winner’s circle.
