Klein's Boat Is Good

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

With about 5,000 chips already in the pot and the board reading {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Loren Klein had checked from the big blind, the player next to act bet 3,000, and Klein check-raised the pot, sending his opponent into the tank. They eventually got the rest of the chips in and tabled their hands.

"Top two," Klein announced.

Loren Klein: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Klein was ahead, but had bottom two, not top two, and his opponent needed to improve in order to stack him. The {2-Diamonds} turn further improved Klein to deuces full, the {Q-Spades} river missed both players entirely, and Klein took the pot to double up.
