Fonseca Doesn't Chop

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Catching up the action on the {4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} turn, Alberto Fonseca led out 1,500, earning a call from his left-hand opponent.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and Fonseca bet 2,100. His opponent tanked for over a minute and then tossed in calling chips. Fonseca turned up {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} for tens and sixes.

"Chop it up," the other player said, disappointed to see Fonseca's hand. "I don't know what you're doing, you shouldn't even be in this hand," he said while showing {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

He pulled back the 2,100-bet but the dealer informed him that there was no chop as Fonseca had higher two pair. "Oh, I misread my hand," he said, studying his hand carefully.
