Hughes Dusts First Bullet

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Ryan Hughes was in position on the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{J-Hearts} with about 1,300 in the pot. His opponent fired 1,000, Hughes raised to 3,000 and snap-called when the other player moved all in.

Hughes had a wrap with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} but he was against a flopped straight with {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Hughes failed to outdraw his opponent on the {8-Spades} and {7-Hearts} runout and the quick measurement confirmed that his stack was the shorter one.

With a single re-entry allowed in the tournament, it's almost guaranteed that Hughes will soon be back at it.
