Blain Doubles Through Chen

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Dermot Blain
Dermot Blain

Dermot Blain was in the big blind and got his stack in against James Chen on a flop of {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Blain had checked, Chen bet 50,000 from the button, Blain check-raised, and all the chips went in the middle in a flurry of activity.

Dermot Blain: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}
James Chen: {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Blain was ahead with top two and Chen needed to improve in order to stack him. The {6-Hearts} turn and {5-Hearts} river gave Blain the nut flush and he doubled up.

Jachtmann Makes a Close Call, Looks into Full House

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Jan-Peter Jachtmann raised 40,000 from the button and James Chen called in the small blind. The next round was checked and Chen took the betting lead on the turn reading {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}. He fired 75,000 and Jachtmann called.

The river was the {7-Clubs} and Chen potted for 246,000. Jachtmann spent a few minutes tanking.

"Very close," he turned towards Chen and talked but Chen remained quiet. Then someone called the clock on Jachtmann who made the call during a five-second countdown.

Chen showed {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a full house and Jachtmann mucked his hand in defeat.

Kozlov Folds to Bohlman

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

With about 100,000 in the middle and the board reading {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}, Martin Kozlov bet 83,000 from the big blind into his lone opponent, Scott Bohlman, who was in the cutoff. Bohlman called after a brief consideration.

The {3-Clubs} fell on the river and Kozlov checked. Bohlman bet 75,000, and after a bit of thought, Kozlov folded.

"Good bluff," said Kozlov as the dealer pushed the pot Bohlman's way.

Lewis Stacks Hu

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

There were 116,000 chips in the pot and the board read {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades} when we got to the table. Richard Hu bet 76,000 from the big blind and Romain Lewis made a pot-size raise to 344,000 from the cutoff. Hu shoved for about 100,000 more and Lewis quickly called with a covering stack.

Richard Hu: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Romain Lewis: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Lewis had the edge with trips and Hu needed to improve to survive. The {Q-Hearts} river missed both players and Lewis took the pot as Hu began to make his way to the payout desk.

"Show Three or Show Nothing"

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

James Chen was in the big blind, checking on the river of the {J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Ronald Keijzer bet 90,000 into 126,000 and Chen check-raised pot, making it 396,000. Keijzer thought for over two minutes and then he released his hand. Chen was about to show one card but Keijzer stopped him.

"Show three or show nothing," he said.

Chen then picked three of his hole cards, turning up the {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

The river fell {4-Diamonds} and Kozlov checked, letting Lenaghan fire 80,000. Kozlov tanked for a while and then made the call but Lenaghan had him beat with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for aces up.

Parker Doubles Through Le

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Brock Parker
Brock Parker

Brock Parker made it 32,000 from under the gun, Tommy Le called next to act, and everyone else got out of the way.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Parker shoved for his last 66,000. Le quickly called to put Parker at risk and the two players tabled their hands.

Brock Parker: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Tommy Le: {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}

Le had the best of it with two pair and an open-ended straight draw and Parker needed help from the deck to survive. The {A-Spades} turn and {10-Spades} river gave Parker tens full of aces to win the pot for a double-up.
