Hyun Finds Two Pair on Taneja

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Sanjay Taneja opened in the cutoff to 100,000 and, after some thought, Sung Joo Hyun raised it to 255,000 on the button. It came back to Taneja who made the call.

The flop showed {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and things heated up after Taneja first checked before facing a bet for 190,000 from Hyun. Taneja moved all in for a remaining stack worth 1,100,000 and Hyun snap-called, showing {k-Hearts}{10-Spades} for two pair. Taneja, holding {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, was in desperate shape to double up and the {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} turn and river brought him no help.
