Diamonds Are Daniel Negreanu's Best Friend

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Andrew Rennhack: {X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs} fold
Mike Watson: {X-}{X-} / {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} / {X-}
Dan Matsuzuki: {X-}{X-} / {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades} / {X-}
Daniel Negreanu: {X-}{X-} / {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{A-Clubs} / {X-}

We picked up the action on fifth street when Mike Watson checked his pair of sixes and Dan Matsuzuki bet 20,000. Daniel Negreanu called, Andrew Rennhack folded, and Watson called to see sixth.

Negreanu bet 20,000 after pairing his ace, which left him just 7,000. Watson raised to 40,000, Matsuzuki called, and Negreanu put in the rest of his chips.

Matsuzuki then called a bet of 20,000 from Watson on seventh. Watson tabled the {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a heart flush, Matsuzuki the {2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a low, and Negreanu the {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a bigger flush. Matsuzuki took the low in both pots while Negreanu got half the main pot.
