Negreanu Takes Most of a Massive pot

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Allen Kessler limped in under the gun. Stuart Rutter made it 700 and the button called. Daniel Negreanu called from the big blind and Allen Kessler called as well.

The flop was {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Negreanu and Kessler both checked over to Rutter who bet 1,500. The player on the button called as did Negreanu and Kessler.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Negreanu opted to lead out after giving it some thought. He bet 5,600 and Kessler quickly folded. Rutter called and the button called behind.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Negreanu plopped out a stack, making a pot sized bet of 25,700. Rutter thought for a bit but eventually decided to call. The player on the button then thought for a bit as well then decided to call as well. Negreanu showed {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Spades} for the nut flush which would earn him half the pot. Rutter held {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and the player on the button had {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for the nut low as well, so they would chop the low pot.

With that, Negreanu took down the most of the pot, chipping up to nearly 70,000 chips.

"It's Hard to Make People Fold a Full House"

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Brandon Shack-Harris
Brandon Shack-Harris

Action was on the river on a board of {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{A-Spades}. Eric Rodawig and Brandon Shack-Harris each had bets of roughly 9,000 out in front of them. Rodawig decided to put out a pot sized bet, making it 19,400. Shack-Harris then dropped into the tank.

After a bit of thinking from Shack-Harris, Rodawig started to talk.

"What do you have?" Rodawig asked. "Jacks?"

"I have a jack," Shack-Harris said. "And a deuce."

"Sounds like you're one jack off," Rodawig said, which prompted a small laugh from Shack-Harris.

Shack-Harris thought for a bit more before deciding to call.

"It's hard to make people fold a full house," Rodawig said, showing {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for the nut low and nut flush. Shack-Harris showed his {J-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} though for a full house and it would earn him half the pot.

Painter Puts Bjorin in a Tough Spot

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Chris Bjorin opened from middle position with a raise to 700 and Jameson Painter called on the button.

The flop was {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Bjorin led for 1,500. Painter called.

The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Bjorin led again, this time for 4,000 and Painter called again.

On the {8-Diamonds} river, Bjorin slowed down with a check. Painter decided to put out a big bet of 7,000 and Bjorin thought for a bit before calling.

"Ace-queen, ace-three," Painter said showing {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. It was good for only half the pot as Bjorin showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and his two aces earned him the high portion.
