Smith Goes Runner-Runner

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

The board read {2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Matthew Smith moved his opponent all in. His opponent called and players then tabled their hands. His opponent showed {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for an overpair and Smith tabled {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for queen-high.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Smith now picked up a flush draw. The river completed that flush as the {4-Clubs} hit the felt and he sent his opponent to the rail.

Williams Takes One

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

There were about 1,500 chips in the middle and the {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop was out when we got to the table. Action checked to David Williams in the cutoff and he bet 650. A player in middle position called.

The turn brought the {J-Spades} and both players checked.

The {7-Hearts} hit the river and the middle-position player checked. Williams bet 1,500, his opponent folded, and he took the pot.

Brengelman Finds a Double

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

There was a raise of 325 from a late position opponent and the cutoff player called. Craig Brengelman jumped along as well from the button and the big blind also made the call.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} and action checked to the initial raiser who put out a bet of 350. The button folded and Brengelman raised to 950 from the button. Action folded back to the late position opponent who called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and action checked to Brengelman who moved all in for 1,600. His opponent made the call and the players then turned over their hands.

The late position opponent tabled {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for ace-high with a straight draw and Brengelman tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} for an overpair and straight draw. Brengelman said, "Please don't suck out on me" as he smiled and awaited the river, which came the {6-Spades}.

Brengelman took down the pot with his full house and is now back over starting stack after a rocky start to the day.
