Deuces Never Loses

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Dan Smith opened to 2,700 from early position and was called by Timur Margolin in the cutoff, Harold Evans on the button, and Ludovic Riehl in the big blind. The flop came {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} and the action checked to Evans who bet 4,500. Both Riehl and Smith called but Margolin check-raised to 26,400. Evans quickly shoved all in for 116,300 which got Riehl and Smith out of the pot. Margolin called and the cards were tabled.

Harold Evans: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Timur Margolin: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Evans was well out front with his set of deuces, looking for a big double up. The {k-Spades} on the turn gave Margolin a straight draw but the {9-Diamonds} on the river was no help. Evans took down the pot with a set of deuces and doubled up to put himself near the top of the leaderboard.
