It folded around to Jeff Hakim on the button and he raised to 3,000. When the action was on Scotty Nguyen in the big blind he three-bet to 8,200. Hakim called and the two went heads-up to the flop.

The flop was {8-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Nguyen checked to Hakim. Hakim then bet out 6,500, but Nguyen was far from being done with the hand, throwing in 20,500. Hakim thought about it for a while before calling the bet.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Nguyen checked again. Hakim pushed all of his remaining chips in the middle, worth 61,900. Nguyen instantly grabbed his cards and it looked like he was going to fold, but then he grabbed some chips. After a couple minutes Nguyen threw his cards towards the muck and Hakim raked in the pot.
