Four Remain in $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em BOUNTY; Ryan Leng Bags Chip Lead After Day 3

Level 30 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Ryan Leng

Day 3 of Event #51: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em BOUNTY has concluded. 1983 players sat down to play at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino three days ago but now the final four are all that remain. Everyone who returns tomorrow has won at least $89,079. However, they will all be hoping to take down the top prize of $272,504, the title and a sought-after gold WSOP bracelet, which come with the first place.

Returning as chipleader tomorrow is Ryan Leng (5,440,000). Leng has had a rollercoaster of a day today, frequently sitting at the top and bottom of the leaderboard throughout play.

Leng had numerous tussles with Ranno Sootla and was fortunate to get a double and not a bust out in one particular hand where they both had top pair on the flop but Sootla had the better kicker. Leng found help on the turn to keep him in the competition. Some time later, the roles were reversed and Sootla got it in behind with ace-queen to Leng's ace-king suited but he managed to hit a queen. “Now we are even,” Sootla said after.

The Estonian, who started Day 3 as the chipleader, will return second in chips (3,835,000). In close third is Christian Nolte (3,405,000). Completing the final four is none other than 2013 Main Event runner-up Jay Farber (2,195,000) but even as the short stack, he will still come back with over 20 big blinds.

Final Table Action

At the unofficial final table, Quyen Hoang busted in 10th place ($16,928). Hoang was grinding through the day and moved in on the button with an ace but was unfortunate to run into another ace with a better kicker. Joining her shortly after was Mikhail Semin in 9th ($21,741). Semin shoved pocket sevens when the action was unopened but Sootla found pocket jacks and hit a set on the flop to win the pot.

Next to leave was Mark Mazza in 8th ($28,225) He hit top pair queens with ace-queen suited and got it in versus Leng's pocket aces. He couldn't crack the rockets and hit the rail. John Gulino was out next in 7th ($37,034). Gulino moved all in on an ace high turn with top pair and was called by Sootla who had an ace with a lower kicker and a flush draw. The river completed the flush and Gulino had to say goodbye.

Russell Rosenblum's time came when he three-bet all-in with king-jack over a raise from Farber and a call from Nolte. Nolte snap-called and had the best hand all the way through with ace-king. He finished in 6th ($49,107). Finally, it was Javier Gomez who had to leave, finishing in 5th ($65,799), after shoved ace-jack suited into a raise and a call and running into ace-queen.

Play resumes on Thursday, June 28 at noon in the Brasilia room at table #92. Players will come back in level 31 with blinds at 50,000 and 100,000 and a running ante of 10,000.

PokerNews will be at the heart of the action from beginning to the very end, bringing you live updates of each and every hand that is played at the final table.

Javier Gomez Eliminated in 5th Place ($65,851)

Hand #76: Christian Nolte opened under the gun for 175,000 and Ryan Leng called on the button before Javier Gomez went all in from the small blind. Nolte folded and Leng snap-called.

Ryan Leng: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Javier Gomez: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Leng was out in front as the dealer put out the flop. It was {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Gomez picked up some chop outs. The {4-Hearts} wasn't one of them and neither was the {k-Diamonds} river. Gomez just missed out on bagging up for Day 4 and instead had to head towards the payouts cage.

Russell Rosenblum Eliminated in 6th Place ($49,146)

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Russell Rosenblum

Hand #40: Jay Farber made it 125,000 from under the gun. Christian Nolte called in middle position and Russell Rosenblum three-bet all in from the small blind. After a brief tank from Farber, he folded but it was a quick call from Nolte.

Christian Nolte: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Russell Rosenblum {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Rosenblum was at risk with the worst of it and though he connected on the {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop, Nolte hit the better pair and Rosenblum had two live outs or running cards only. The {3-Spades} turn meant only one of the two jacks could save Rosenblum but it was a {q-Hearts} brick on the river.

John Gulino Eliminated in 7th Place ($37,063)

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
John Gulino
John Gulino

Hand #35: Ranno Sootla opened to 125,000, Ryan Leng called from the hijack, Russell Rosenblum called from the cutoff, and John Gulino called from the big blind.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and all players checked. The turn fell the {9-Spades} and action checked to Sootla who bet 210,000. Leng and Rosenblum folded to Gulino who moved all in for 740,000.

Sootla took several minutes and apologized to the table for the time absorbtion. Sootla decided to call and the player turned over their hands. Gulino showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of aces and Sootla tabled {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for a pair of aces with a flush draw.

The river made Sootla very excited as the {q-Spades} landed on the felt. Sootla's flush took down the huge pot and eliminated Gulino in the process of doing so.

Mark Mazza Eliminated in 8th Place ($28,247)

Mark Mazza
Mark Mazza

Hand #28: Mark Mazza opened to 125,000 from early position and Ryan Leng called from the hijack. The dealer fanned out a {7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and Mazza put out a bet of 150,000.

Leng thought for a moment before he raised to 335,000 and Mazza quickly moved all in. Leng snap-called and the players turned over their hands.

Ryan Leng: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Mark Mazza: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The turn came the {k-Spades} and Leng was still ahead with his aces. The {j-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and Leng took down the pot, eliminating Mazza who looked shocked at what just happened.

Mikhail Semin Eliminated in 9th Place ($21,759)

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Mihkail Semin
Mihkail Semin

Hand #18: First hand back from the break and it folded round to Mikhail Semin on the hijack and after considering his options he moved in for 1,000,000. Ranno Sootla was on his direct left and after getting a count, he moved all-in over the top.

Ranno Sootla: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Mikhail Semin: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Sootla was the massive favorite preflop and the {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop all but sealed the deal for him. It was all over by the {3-Spades} turn and the {7-Hearts} river was too little, too late for Semin, who headed for the cage to collect his ninth-place prize money.

Roman Rogovskyi Eliminated in 12th Place ($16,942)

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Roman Rogovskyi
Roman Rogovskyi

What an incredible couple of minutes Ryan Leng has had. He had barely had time to stack the chips collected in the previous hand before he was all in again. This time it was against Roman Rogovskyi and all the chips went in preflop, with Rogovskyi's tournament life the one on the line.

Roman Rogovskyi: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Ryan Leng: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

It was off to the races and the {9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} runout favored the pocket pair. Rogovskyi will have to settle for 12th, whilst Leng has catapulted into the lead.

Richard Peterson Eliminated in 13th Place ($13,336)

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Richard Peterson
Richard Peterson

Mark Mazza opened to 60,000 from the hijack and Richard Peterson called from the cutoff. Christian Nolte also called from the small blind and the flop came down {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Action checked to Mazza who bet 125,000 and Peterson made the call. Nolte check-raised all in for 895,000 and Mazza tank-folded. Peterson thought for a moment before putting his remaining 605,000 into the middle and would be at risk.

Peterson tabled {9-Spades}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens with a straight draw and Nolte showed {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a flopped set. The turn was the {j-Clubs} and the river came the {3-Hearts}. Neither helped Peterson as he was eliminated by Nolte's set of sixes.
