Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Fedor Holz opened to 135,000 from under the gun, Thomas Muehloecker called from the cutoff, and Jason Koon called from the big blind.

They checked to the turn of an {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} board where Muehloecker bet 175,000. Koon check-called, and Holz check-folded.

The river was the {7-Spades}, Koon checked, Muehloecker bet 425,000, and Koon check-raised to 1,250,000. Muehlocker went into the tank, using his three remaining time extensions before he called.

Koon tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for eights full of deuces, Muehloecker mucked, and Koon won the pot.

Level 16 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

With an all-in and a call waiting at another table on the bubble in the $100,000 High Roller, Stephen Chidwick raised to 135,000 and Fedor Holz three-bet from the small blind for 500,000. Chidwick used up a time extension before putting out a four-bet to 1,250,000.

Holz called. The pair checked a flop and turn of {2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and the river brought the {10-Hearts}. Holz checked and Chidwick bet 1,500,000. Holz used up a time extension before folding.

Volpe Eliminates Schindler on the Money Bubble

Level 16 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Jake Schindler Bubbles Event 5
Jake Schindler Bubbles Event 5

The action folded around to Jake Schindler on the button who raised to 300,000. Paul Volpe was in the big blind and three-bet enough to cover Schindler's stack. After checking out the other two tables, Schindler moved the rest of his chips in the middle for a total of 770,000.

Paul Volpe: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Jake Schindler: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Volpe was in a dominating position and Schindler would need some help in order to stay alive. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Schindler picked up a straight draw. The {5-Spades} on the turn brought some chop outs but the {5-Clubs} on the river secured Schindler's fate and he left the tournament area empty-handed.

Steffen Sontheimer raised all in for 785,000 from the hijack, and Nick Petrangelo called from the cutoff. Paul Volpe three-bet to 2,200,000 from the small blind, Petrangelo four-bet shoved with a covering stack, and Volpe called all in for about 4,600,000.

Petrangelo tabled {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}, Volpe showed {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}, and Sontheimer turned over {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

The board came down {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, no help to either Volpe or Sontheimer, locking up the largest pot of the tournament for Petrangelo, who is now the chipleader.

Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Thomas Muehloecker opened from under the gun and Jason Mercier shoved all in for 650,000 from the hijack. The action folded back to Muehloecker who made the call and the cards were tabled.

Thomas Muehloecker: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Jason Mercier: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

It was a coin flip with Mercier being the player at risk. The flop came {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Muehloecker made a set of sixes. The {10-Spades} on the turn gave Mercier some straight outs, but the {a-Clubs} on the river merely gave him a pair. The pot was sent to Muehloecker and Mercier headed to the payout desk.

Muehloecker Chips Up Through Vogelsang

Level 16 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 130,000 from under the gun and Thomas Muehloecker called on the button.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Vogelsang bet 130,000. Muehloecker raised to 350,000 and Vogelsang called. Both players checked the {2-Spades} turn and the river was the {q-Spades}.

Vogelsang checked and Muehloecker bet 650,000.

After some thought Vogelsang announced call. There was momentary confusion as the dealer thought he had announced all in, and Muehloecker waited for clarification. It was clarified to be a call and Muehloecker showed {9-Spades}{10-Spades} to take down the pot with a flush.
