Davies Eliminated; Volpe Triples Up

Level 14 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

Paul Volpe opened to 90,000 and Michael Rosenfeld flat-called. Seth Davies three-bet to 290,000 from the button and Volpe moved all in for 980,000. Rosenfeld called and Davies then decided to move all in for 1,240,000.

Volpe then prematurely exposed his hand, but hurriedly covered it up when he realised that Rosenfeld still had a decision, albeit a straightforward one. Rosenfeld did call, and all hands were exposed properly.

Paul Volpe: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Seth Davies: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Michael Rosenfeld: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Volpe was in good shape to triple up, and Rosenfeld looked poised to be left with only a couple of hundred thousand chips.

However, the cased ace appeared on the {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop and the {5-Hearts}{k-Hearts} run out failed to improve Davies who was eliminated.
