Lau Takes Out Cawood

The flop read {q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs} with about 45,000 in the middle already. Rod Cawood bet 40,000 from the big blind and King Lun Alan Lau was considering his options in the hijack. After about ten seconds, Lau made the call.

The turn came with the {j-Spades}, Cawood shoved all in for around 93,000 in total. Lau called without hesitating.

Cawood had flopped bottom pair against Lau's top pair.

All the cards were already on the board when we arrived at the table and Chi Chan stood up from his chair to walk to the payout desk.

Chan had {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} laying in front of him and Kelly Minkin had {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. The board on the table was {2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{K-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Minkin took down the pot. Five players have already exited the tournament so far today.

The flop read {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs} and there was already about 60,000 in the middle. Both Chi Chan in the big blind and Michael Wang in mid-position checked through to the {a-Spades} on the turn. Chan check-called Wang's 25,000 bet.

The river completed the board with the {k-Hearts}, Chan checked for the last time. Wang continued with another bet of 57,000. Chan counted out his stack and then decided to call. Wang tabled {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for the turned two pair to take the pot and leave Chan behind with hardly anything.
