Negreanu Left Short Then Doubles

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu lost a big pot to leave him on just 1,500 but was able to find a near instant double-up.

In the first hand, Negreanu was in the big blind and raised after the player in the cutoff entered the pot. Negreanu's raise was called, and they went heads-up to a {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. Negreanu continued with the betting lead and was called, and his bet was called again on the {6-Diamonds} turn.

But on the {4-Spades} river, Negreanu was raised after he bet on the third street and contemplated his decision for a minute before making the call. His opponent tabled {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a full house, and the Canadian had to let his hand go into the muck, leaving him with just 1,500.

However, two hands later he raised from the button and the big blind called, and on the {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop Negreanu was put all in by his opponent and he called.

Daniel Negreanu: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Turn: {5-Clubs}
River: {k-Diamonds}

Negreanu was ahead with a pair of nines, but his opponent had a lot of outs before the board bricked for the latter and six-time bracelet winner Negreanu was able to secure a full double-up.
