Good Start for Pechie

Level 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

On a raised pot, the board was showing {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and three players were active in the hand. A first player bet 150, it was raised to 300, Justin Pechie in late position called and the initial raiser called as well.

The turn fell {k-Diamonds}, after a first check, the second player bet 300 and Pechie raised it to 600. It was followed by one call and a fold.
On the river {2-Spades}, both players checked and Pechie tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. His opponent, holding {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, was dominated and Pechie grabbed the pot.

The winner of the 2011 $1,500 Limit Hold’em Shootout has now a stack around 16,000.
