Taylor Takes Porter Out

Level 17 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Thomas Taylor
Thomas Taylor

Rep Porter has just come unstuck and it was in a hand involving Thomas Taylor and Phil Hellmuth.

According to Taylor, Hellmuth had opened the betting preflop, making it 2,500 and got two calls from Taylor behind and from Porter in the small blind.

The flop came {6-}{6-}{3-} and Porter checked. Hellmuth continued for 5,500 and Taylor flat-called. With the action back on Porter, he upped it to 17,000 and that was enough to push out Hellmuth but not Taylor, who moved all in over the top and Porter called.

Rep Porter: {8-}{8-}
Thomas Taylor: {9-}{9-}

The turn and river bricked for Porter, and he was out.

Morris Pays to See Barill's Cards

Level 17 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Not with chips but with cold hard cash.

Backing up a bit first, the board was out with {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} was on show. Morris had bet 27,000 following a check from Barill, but then faced a raise to 59,000 . After tanking for some time, Morris folded but before Barill mucked, he asked him if he would accept $20 to see his cards. Barill obliged and showed {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a full house.

Hellmuth Pulls a Little Back

Level 18 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

The last few hands have been opened from under-the-gun and in the most recent, it was Thomas Taylor who started the ball rolling with a raise to 2,500. He found two calls from the blinds, from HHellmuth in the small and Shea in the big.

The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and it was checked all round. The {a-Diamonds} turn saw a 6,000 lead from Hellmuth and it netted him the pot. "What, you didn't have ace-king?" He asked as he scooped the chips.

Table #401 Update

Level 18 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Artur Rudziankov raised to 2,700 and only Scott Blumstein called in the small blind.

Rusziankov bet 3,000 when the {j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{a-Clubs} came on the flop and Blumstein check-called.

They both checked on the {8-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Spades} on the river. Blumstein said he had queen-high and Rudziankov tabled {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} which was good enough to take the pot.

Sears and Lakhov Get Tangled Up

Level 18 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Alexander Lakhov
Alexander Lakhov

There was an open to 2,600 by Nikolai Sears on the button and a three-bet to 8,600 by Alexander Lakhov.

The dealer put {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} out on the flop and it went check-check.

On to the {8-Spades} turn and this time Lakhov made a bet of 7,000. Sears made the call.

Finally, the river came {5-Diamonds} and Lakhov barreled, making it 11,000. It was enough to get a fold and he took down the pot.
