Matheson Closes the Deal

Level 27 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Royce Matheson
Royce Matheson

Royce Matheson shoved all in from the button and Steven Wolansky called.

Steven Wolansky: {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Royce Matheson: {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, they both flopped a pair but Matheson's pair of eights had the better of Wolansky. The turn and the river bricked for him and Matheson was the one to be allowed to bag his chips for the final table tomorrow.

Lakhov Putting Up a Fight

Level 27 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Alexander Lakhov has won a couple of hands on the bounce. In the first, he three-bet all-in versus James Worth's 25,000 button raise and took it down.

The second saw the Russian open to 23,000 and Worth called. The flop came down {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and both players checked. It was the same on the {5-Hearts} turn but on the river, after Worth checked once more, Lakhov set 38,000 over the line and Worth passed.

Lee Marches on to Final Table

Level 27 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Preston Lee
Preston Lee

Preston Lee limped in on the button and William Kakon raised to 25,000. Lee called.

They both checked through the {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} on the flop to the {2-Hearts} on the turn. Kakon shoved and Lee called.

William Kakon: {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Preston Lee: {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Kakon had flopped top pair and Lee had turned the straight. The {a-Clubs} on the river didn't mean anything to Kakon anymore as he was sent to the payout desk to collect his min-cash. Lee will be back tomorrow with 656,000 in chips.

The board was {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and the jack of clubs turned out to be an action river. James Worth bet and Alexander called.

James Worth {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Alexander Lakhov {j-Spades}{X-}

Lakhov flashed a jack after Worth showed a flush. This put Worth into the lead once more.

Lakhov Retakes the Chip Lead

Level 27 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Alexander Lakhov has moved ahead once more. The most recent chips were acquired in a hand that began with a call on the button and a check by James Worth.

The flop brought out the {6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. There was a check-check and the dealer put out a {2-Spades} turn. This time Worth bet 12,000, which Lakhov called. The {k-Spades} completed the board and Worth barreled for 24,000. It was raised to 79,000 and Worth folded.
