Gregoire Chipping Up, Rudd Stays Alive

Level 14 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Omaha-8

With around 20,000 chips in the middle before the flop, there were still three players remaining in the hand. The dealer fanned the flop of {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Brian Jordan checked from the small blind. Matt Gregoire bet in middle position and Ralph Rudd tossed in his last 200 chips from the cutoff. Jordan called to go heads-up with Gregoire on the side pot.

The {6-Diamonds} laned on the turn and Jordan check-called another bet from Gregoire. The river was the {2-Spades} and Jordan checked for the third time. Gregoire fired in another bet and Jordan called. Gregoire flipped over {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a full house and an eight low. Jordan tabled {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for no high and the same low as Gregoire, who would be awarded three-quarters of the side pot.

Rudd, who was all in, tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and would take down half of the main pot to keep his tournament hopes alive.
