Sammer Keeps His Composure in a Massive Pot

There were five players that saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the action checked around to Charles Wiper on the button. Wiper pushed in a bet of 150,000 and Sammer check-raised to 430,000 from the small blind. The other players in the hand all quickly folded and Wiper instantly made the call.

The {4-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and both players checked. The {5-Clubs} landed on the river, and as Wiper moved his face closer to Sammer, staring at him intensely throughout the hand, Sammer tossed in a chip and announced all in. Wiper asked for a count and leaped out of his seat, needing to stand to make a decision and break the stare. The all-in was for 807,000 and Wiper called.

Sammer rolled over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a full house and Wiper nearly ripped his cards in half. He was forced to show {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush but the result was a full double-up for Sammer and Wiper was left with around 140,000 chips.
