Rodriguez Eliminates Heroux in 200K Pot

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Maxime Heroux
Maxime Heroux

Walter Rodriguez opened the action from the cutoff with a raise and called after Maxime Heroux three-bet from the button. The flop came {8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, and Rodriguez check-raised Heroux's 7,500 continuation bet to 25,000. Heroux gave himself some time to think, but before long he announced all in.

Rodriguez was unsure on his next move. He got the bet verified at 74,200 before counting his chips quickly to see he only just had Heroux covered. But he did make the call and threw one single chip into the middle.

Maxime Heroux: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Walter Rodriguez: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Turn: {5-Spades}
River: {7-Spades}

Rodriguez had top two pair, but Heroux had a lot of outs with flush and straight draws. Ultimately the board bricked for Heroux, however, and Rodriguez moved up to 200,000 in chips while Heroux exited just short of the money.
