Straight Flush Crushes Nut Flush

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

In a hand relayed to the PokerNews team by Eyal Bensimhon via social media, he said he opened to 375 from middle position with queen-jack of spades. Two callers on the button and big blind came along to the {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop.

Bensimhon continued his betting after the big blind checked, with a bet to 600. The button raised to 1,500 and action folded back to Bensimhon who raised again to 3,900 with the gutshot straight flush draw.

The button called to see {9-Spades} on the turn, completing the straight flush for Bensimhon. He checked, only to see the big blind shove his stack for about 6,000. Bensimhon called excitedly, screaming "Straight flush!" as he revealed his cards. His opponent rolled over {A-Spades}{4-Spades} for the defeated nut flush.

The pot brought Bensimhon up to 35,000 chips.
