Becker Off to a Hot Start

Level 1 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Johannes Becker - Event #8 Champion
Johannes Becker - Event #8 Champion

Omaha Hi-Lo

Jesse Klein opened from the cutoff with a raise and Johannes Becker called from the small blind. Scott Seiver called from the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and action checked through to the {4-Hearts} on the turn. There, Becker led out with a bet and Seiver was his only taker.

The river was the {J-Diamonds} and Becker bet again. Seiver called and Becker showed him {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a flush. Seiver quickly mucked and Becker took down the pot.

Becker finished second in this event last year taking home a prize of $862,649 and finishing runner-up to Elior Sion. Earlier in this series, Becker also locked up his first World Series of Poker Bracelet in Event #8: $ 2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball for $180,455.
