Riess Triples Up

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Ryan Riess was in the small blind and got his short stack in before the flop against two players, Victor Ramdin in the hijack and Jody Fayant in the cutoff.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Ramdin checked, and Fayant checked behind.

The turn brought the {10-Diamonds} and Ramdin bet 15,000. Fayant clicked it back to 30,000, and after brief consideration, Ramdin folded.

"Full house," said Fayant as he got ready to table his hand.

"I've got a full house, too," Riess replied with a smile.

Ryan Riess: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Jody Fayant: {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Riess had the pot all but locked up and Fayant needed the case ten in order to stack him. The {3-Spades} hit the river and Riess took the pot to triple up.
