Gershon Distenfeld is a recreational player & family man originally from New York, but now residing in New Jersey. He works for AllianceBernstein as co-head of Fixed Income and Director of Credit. He famously final tabled the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event last year & most notably, donated his entire 8th place finish, for $125,855, to various charities. Returning to the WSOP this year, the run good continues for Distenfeld as he finds himself facing down yet another Word Series Of Poker Final Table, this time in Event #48: $1,500 SHOOTOUT No-Limit Hold'em. Lára met up with him just moments after he won his heads up match to hear about his dedication to good causes & how others can follow his lead by playing a small but significant part in giving back.
