Patel Doubles Up Amidst Some Controversy

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

It appeared that Talesh Patel had been taking an unusual amount of time to act over the past hour and it seemed to rub some of his tablemates, David Mock and Florian Duta, the wrong way. Duta eventually called the clock and explained to the floor that Patel was stalling. Patel argued the opposite, suggesting that he just needed time to think.

A few hands later, Mock opened to 25,000 and was called by Duta. Patel shoved all in for 143,000 on the button and was called by Mock, while Duta folded. Patel flipped over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and was in front of Mock's {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} and Patel improved to a flush to secure himself a double up. "Did I stall that hand?" Patel asked after raking in the pot.

"You're a smart man, dude. You know you were taking extra time for like 15 hands in a row. Just stop," pleaded Mock.

The two players exchanged some more words before the floor had to step in and ask the guys to just play cards.
